Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT IS YOUR MINIMUM?

We currently have a minimum spend for full service florals of $3,000 including labor and candles to take on an event. This ensures we can direct our full attention to your event that weekend. For brides with budgets under $3,000 we do offer an DIY package.

We are open to taking on smaller events, rehearsal dinners, and micro weddings for under $3,000.

HOW MUCH DO COUPLES TYPICALLY SPEND?

We see most of our couples spending between $6,000-$30,000 on their wedding flowers including rentals like candles and vases, labor and any travel fees.

WHAT IS THE PAYMENT SCHEDULE?

We require a 50% non-refundable retainer to book your date and then the other 50% is due 30 days out from your wedding date.

WHAT IS THE BOOKING PROCESS?

After filling out the inquiry form you will schedule a 30-minute phone consultation. During this call, we will discuss your needs for flowers so our team can start working on a quote. After about a week we will send a custom proposal including a color pallet, a flower recipe, inspiration photos, and an itemized quote. Once you look over the proposal we can go back and forth as many times as is needed to get the quote exactly where you want it to be before booking.

Once you let us know you are ready to move forward we will send over the contract and invoice via email so you can pay your retainer online and sign the contract online.

CAN WE MAKE CHANGES?

We can add anything up until 30 days out from your event but once the contract is signed we cannot drop below the contracted amount. We are able to reallocate your budget up until the 30-day out mark. This is mostly used when guest counts change closer to the wedding and table counts change.

WHERE DO YOU SOURCE YOUR FLOWERS?

We work closely with one local wholesaler, three nationwide wholesalers, and a network of local flower farmers to ensure we can get the best product at the best prices.

WHY ARE FLOWERS SO EXPENSIVE?

The price of flowers is at an all-time high. Unfortunately, in 2020 flower farms all over the world shut down and lost staffing causing them not have the necessary labor to plant or harvest the following seasons many even had to throw away harvested products because there were no customers, This caused a significant loss in earnings for farmers.

All these things combined resulted in farms not planting adequate crops for future seasons, especially for the wedding boom that followed in 2021 and 2022. The wedding boom paired with the lack of flowers created nationwide flower shortages and even glass shortages. This has left many wholesale prices 50%+ higher than in 2020.

Additionally, with inflation at an all-time high, there is an increased need for businesses to pay employees a livable wage. We proudly pay our contractors $15-$30+ per hour depending on experience.

WHY ARE GROCERY STORE FLOWERS CHEAPER?

Most grocery stores use flowers the way Costco uses its hotdogs, they’re a “loss leader”. It is a great way to get people in the door and get them shopping, especially when they feel like they have gotten a great deal. Typically they are sold at cost or at a deficit to the establishment. They can do this because the national grocery chain has usually purchased its flower farms aka they are buying in MAJOR bulk discounts. At best the flower quality is majorly unreliable.
